Razumkov heads Servant of the People party

Dmytro Razumkov, who served as spokesperson for the campaign headquarters and political advisor of Volodymyr Zelensky, has become the head of the Servant of the People party.

He announced this at a press conference on Monday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Changes have been made in the leadership of the party. Ivan Bakanov could not continue occupying this post due to the fact that he switched to civil service. The party entrusted me with fulfilling these functions," Razumkov said.

In addition, he said that this political party was fully ready for the beginning of the election campaign. "The party is preparing for parliamentary elections. All of you have seen what is happening - that the changes that society has been counting on, unfortunately, [...] have not been realized," the party leader said.

At the same time, he noted that the party planned to hold a congress about which journalists will be informed in advance. "We see for ourselves the criteria that candidates from the Servant of the People party will have to possess. This largely correlates with the tasks and the vision that we have watched during the election campaign," he said.

According to Razumkov, people who become members of the party should be "highly moral, with deep principles, with the desire and opportunity to listen to and realize the tasks set by Ukrainian society."

The Servant of the People party was earlier led by Ivan Bakanov, whom President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed on May 22 as deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and head of the main directorate for combating corruption and organized crime of the SBU's central directorate.
