Four MPs quit BPP faction

Ukrainian MPs Svitlana Zalishchuk, Arkadiy Kornatsky, Serhiy Leshchenko and Mustafa Nayyem have withdrawn from the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko (BPP) faction in the Verkhovna Rada.

First Deputy Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Gerashchenko announced this at an extraordinary session of parliament on Wednesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"In accordance with the submitted applications and in accordance with Part 3 of Article 60 of the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada, I am announcing the withdrawal of people's deputies Svitlana Zalishchuk, Arkadiy Kornatsky, Serhiy Leshchenko and Mustafa Nayyem from the deputy group of the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko party in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," Gerashchenko said.

MPs Mustafa Nayyem, Svitlana Zalishchuk and Serhiy Leshchenko said on February 28 that they had filed applications for their withdrawal from the BPP faction.
