Parliamentary elections may take place on July 21 – Liashko

Leader of the Radical Party Oleh Liashko has said that most likely President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will sign a decree to dissolve the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the eighth convocation on Wednesday.

"Following the talk, he [President Zelensky] will send a letter to the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada about an extraordinary VR meeting to change the electoral law. Elections may take place on July 21. The decree may be signed tomorrow," Liashko told reporters following the consultations of President Zelensky with representatives of parliamentary factions held in the Presidential Administration, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

On May 20, President Volodymyr Zelensky during his inaugural speech announced about the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada. Later, Zelensky appointed a meeting with leaders of parliamentary factions for May 21.
