Volker hopes to further cooperation with Zelensky

U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker thanked Petro Poroshenko for cooperation and expressed hope for furthering that cooperation with Volodymyr Zelensky. 

 “Returning to Kyiv tomorrow [on May 20] as part of delegation headed by Secretary Perry to represent the U.S. at the Ukraine inauguration. I look forward to thanking Poroshenko for close cooperation between the United States and Ukraine and to working with President Zelenskyy to further that cooperation,” Volker posted on Twitter.

The inauguration of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will be held in Kyiv on Monday, May 20.

The US presidential delegation to attend the inauguration will be led by US Secretary of Energy Rick Perry. Other members of the delegation are U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker, US ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland, Director for European Affairs at the National Security Council Alexander Vindman, and Acting Deputy Chief of Mission for the United States Embassy in Ukraine Joseph Pennington.
