Poroshenko dismisses Turchynov as NSDC secretary

President Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree dismissing Oleksandr Turchynov as secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
The outgoing head of state signed the decree on May 19.
"To dismiss Oleksandr Valentynovych Turchynov from the post of secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine," the decree reads.
Poroshenko's term of office expires on May 20 - on the day of the inauguration of President-elect Volodymyr Zelensky.
