This was reported by the press service of the Lithuanian president on Friday.
"President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite is leaving for Kyiv on Monday, May 20, to attend the inauguration of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky," the report reads.
According to Grybauskaite, Ukraine is very close to Lithuania. The Lithuanian people, who struggled many decades for national independence, firmly stand by Ukraine’s aspirations for a European future and strongly support its determination to protect national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The inauguration ceremony will take place at the Verkhovna Rada where the new president will take the oath of office. Later in the day, he will meet with visiting foreign dignitaries and guests.
