The Cabinet of Ministers plans to gradually monetize all existing benefits, following an example of monetization of utility subsidies.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine, the Government portal reported.

The prime minister has stressed that monetization of subsidies is not an experiment, but a fundamental project the will be further implemented.

"Last year we made a register of subsidies... The second thing we made: from January 1, we started to monetize the subsidy payment for those who received it for the first time. This must not be stopped. We plan to monetize all the benefits,” said Groysman.

As reported, the monetization of subsidies for housing and utility services was launched in March 1, 2019. Almost 3.4 million households received monetized subsidies in March, the total amount of payments made up UAH 5.7 billion.

The state budget for 2019 envisages UAH 55 billion for subsidies, including UAH 12 billion for cash payments.
