Ukraine at TCG meeting in Minsk condemns mass searches in Crimea

At a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) in Minsk, the Ukrainian delegation has condemned mass searches in the houses of the Crimean Tatars in Crimea.

Iryna Herashchenko, First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada and President’s Representative for the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, wrote this on Facebook.

"We have condemned the actions of the occupation regime in Crimea, where raids in the style of fascist regimes and searches in the family homes of the Crimean Tatars have taken place today. We have once again stressed that the OSCE SMM mandate extends over the entire territory of Ukraine. Crimea is Ukraine, and we expect the SMM to begin monitoring the security situation in the Kerch Strait and Crimea," Herashchenko wrote.

The first vice speaker also stressed that Ukraine demands from Russia to stop pressure on the Crimean Tatars.

As Ukrinform reported, on March 27, mass searches were conducted in the houses of the Crimean Tatars, the activists of the Crimean Solidarity organization.
