Karl von Habsburg, the current head of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine, said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
"I consider Ukraine to be one of the countries that are crucial for Europe, for the future of Europe and for the concept entitled "Europe for the Future"," he said.
According to him, the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) towards Ukraine is not quite what meets the requirements of the future. “We have to open up the prospects of joining the EU for Ukraine in the long term. I know that this will not happen quickly, but there must be a prospect that will provide such a result,” he stressed.
"For me, Ukraine is an integral part of Europe. The European Union will not fully exist without Ukraine," the head of the House of Habsburg added.
