Government reforming State Fiscal Service

"We have approved two acts of the Cabinet of Ministers: the regulations on the State Tax Service and State Customs Service. These are transitional provisions, we will further amend them," Markarova said at a government meeting on March 6, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

She stressed that the concept of the ministry includes the creation of the tax and customs services of a new quality.

On December 18, 2018, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution on the reorganization of the State Fiscal Service by dividing it into the State Tax Service and State Customs Service as separate central executive authorities. The Cabinet of Ministers will direct and coordinate the activities of these services through the Finance Ministry of Ukraine. The resolution considers recommendations of the International Monetary Fund and the tasks that are envisaged in the Medium-Term Government Priority Action Plan up to 2020.
