Poroshenko expects increased international pressure on Russia

Ukrinform
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko hopes that international pressure on the Russian Federation due to its aggression against Ukraine will be increased.

He stated this during a joint press conference with the presidents of Lithuania and Poland in Lublin today, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"I expect that the international community will step up pressure on the Russian Federation," Poroshenko said. According to him, it should take place through the mechanism of sanctions as well.

The president stressed that sanctions were a mechanism to make Russia sit down at the negotiating table, fulfill its obligations and end the war.

On February 22, President of Ukraine is on a one-day working visit to Poland. President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė and President of Poland Andrzej Duda also arrived in Lublin.
