Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has informed his European colleagues about ongoing Russian aggression in Donbas and called for further pressure to be exerted on Russia, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Kateryna Zelenko has reported on Twitter.

"During a meeting 'Ukraine + Friends of Ukraine in the EU' in Brussels, Pavlo Klimkin briefed the ministers on Ukraine's progress in implementing reforms, the situation in the context of Russian aggression, thanking them for new anti-Russian sanctions. Further pressure is important for the liberation of Ukrainian sailors and political prisoners," Zelenko wrote.

Klimkin tweeted after the informal meeting that Ukraine has support of the EU.

"It's a pleasure to hear sincere and inspiring words from our colleagues in the EU. Five years ago, many people in Europe saw Ukraine but did not see the Ukrainian nation. Today it is not even discussed. We have European support and we deserve a future in Europe," he wrote.

Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin as part of his working visit to Brussels on Monday took part in an informal ministerial meeting in the format "Ukraine + Friends of Ukraine in the EU," which took place on the initiative of Danish Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen.
