Klimkin, Bolton reaffirm common positions in Washington

U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton has welcomed a meeting he held on Wednesday with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, reaffirming the common positions of Washington and Kyiv.

He stated this on his Twitter account, Ukrinform reports.

"[I] had a productive meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Klimkin, discussing regional security, Russian interference, and expectations for free and fair elections. Confirmed our mutual commitment to realizing a prosperous Ukraine, whole, free, and at peace," the White House advisor wrote.

The Ukrainian foreign minister is on a visit to Washington, where he took part, in particular, in a meeting of foreign ministers of 79 partner countries of the U.S.-led Global Coalition To Defeat ISIS/DAESH in Syria and Iraq.
