Klimkin meets with Szijjarto in Washington

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has met with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto in Washington, reads a statement posted on the Facebook page of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

"Among dozens of meetings scheduled to take place in Washington today, we had our already traditional talks with Hungarian friends. The defense minister will go to talk with NATO allies in the near future. We will continue to work on our favorite topics so that Ukrainian Hungarians could make themselves at home," reads the statement.

According to him, the extension of the transition period is important.

"It is very important now to extend the transition period in order to provide proper training for our teachers, improve the methodological basis and solve many other crucial issues," the report said.

Klimkin is currently on a visit to Washington.
