Ukrainian ambassador presents credentials to Kyrgyz president

Ukraine's Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Valeriy Zhovtenko has presented his credentials to Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Kyrgyzstan reported this on Facebook on Friday.

"On January 25, 2019, a solemn ceremony of presenting credentials by Ukrainian Ambassador Valeriy Zhovtenko to President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov was held," the report says.

As part of the ceremony, the parties discussed a number of issues relating to bilateral cooperation.

As reported, on August 30, 2018, President Petro Poroshenko appointed Valeriy Zhovtenko as Ukraine's ambassador to Kyrgyzstan.
