The Ukrainian side received strong support at the meetings within the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this in an interview with the Ukraine TV channel, the press service of the Head of State reports.

The President noted that he had held about 20 official meetings for the two days of his visit to Davos, in particular with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Vice President of the People's Republic of China Wang Qishan, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, newly elected President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro, President of Poland Andrzej Duda, President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė.

"We are using the fact that there is a very tight schedule - negotiations take 15-20 minutes not more, but their number is large enough. And everywhere we have a solid position on Ukraine’s support. I am grateful to our international partners who demonstrate such support, show the position of protecting Ukrainians," the Head of State emphasized.

Petro Poroshenko spoke about some details of the meeting with Angela Merkel on preventing Russia's interference in the elections: "It's about cyber security, the exchange of data ..." At the same time, he stressed that he could not reveal the content of the agreements on the special services and all the mechanisms for providing cyber security. "It is obvious that we will not disclose the details of these agreements," the President emphasized.

The Head of State reminded that the NATO Trust Fund for cyber security had been created at the Ukrainian initiative, as well as there were specific bilateral agreements with the United States, the UK and Germany.

"Today, it is very important that the United States, the EU and Canada consider it a real threat. It's not about helping Ukraine, it's about uniting efforts to protect democracy around the world as Russia is trying to use democratic instruments and mechanisms to undermine democracy from the inside. Of course, we will defend the state, including from such hybrid threats of Russia," he stressed.

As reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko made a working visit to Davos on January 23-24.
