Servant of the People Party nominates Zelensky for president

The Servant of the People Party has nominated Volodymyr Zelensky as a candidate for the post of Ukraine's president, Zelensky's press service has told an Ukrinform correspondent.
"An extraordinary congress of the Servant of the People political party was held today, on January 21, 2019. It was attended by delegates from regional branches of the Servant of the People. The congress, which took place in an informal atmosphere, was opened by the head of the party, Ivan Bakanov. He proposed discussing and approving several issues put on the agenda, in particular, on the nomination of a party candidate in Ukraine's presidential election on March 31, 2019," the statement reads.
Thus, the artistic director of the Kvartal 95 studio, Volodymyr Zelensky, was nominated for the post of president from the Servant of the People Party. According to the report, the decision on this issue was made unanimously.
