CEC allows 21 NGOs to monitor presidential election in Ukraine
A respective decision was made at a meeting on Monday following the consideration of applications from non-governmental organizations, an Ukrinform correspondent said.
In particular, the CEC unanimously allowed the following organizations to monitor the presidential election in Ukraine, in particular, NGO I am for YVT, the All-Ukrainian Association of Election Process Participants, the League of Voters, and NGO Triumvirat.
Thus, as of January 14, the CEC allowed 21 NGOs to have official observers during the presidential election on March 31, 2019.
The presidential election process began in Ukraine on December 31.
Earlier, the CEC allowed 17 NGOs to have official observers in the presidential election in Ukraine. According to the schedule of major organizational measures for the preparation and holding of the regular presidential election on March 31, Ukrainian civil society organizations may apply to the CEC to register official observers before January 29 inclusive.
Applications for the registration of official observers from foreign states and international organizations will be accepted by March 23 inclusive.
