Foreign Ministers of the Baltic States, Poland and Ukraine will jointly visit Mariupol on January 15 to check the security situation in Donbas and consequences of Russian aggression in the Kerch Strait, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported.

"On January 15, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin together with his colleagues from Lithuania Linas Linkevičius, Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs, Estonia Sven Mikser and Poland Jacek Czaputowicz will pay a working visit to Mariupol to get acquainted with the current social and economic situation complicated by Russian aggression, particularly obstacles to the freedom of navigation through the Kerch Strait to the ports of Berdiansk and Mariupol. The ministers will also get acquainted with the difficult security situation caused by the Russian aggression in Donbas,” the report says.

The Foreign Ministry recalled that Klimkin previously had called on the leaders of foreign policy departments of the EU member states to respond to the act of aggression against Ukraine in the Kerch Strait on November 25, 2018.

"Ukraine is working with its international partners in order to implement a number of social and infrastructure projects and support residents of the Ukrainian Azov region," the ministry reported.
