Presidential election campaign in Ukraine to start on December 31

The decision was made at the CEC meeting on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

 “The Central Election Commission rules to announce the start of the electoral process of the scheduled presidential election on December 31, 2018. The election will be held on March 31, 2019,” Chairperson of the CEC Tetiana Slipachuk read out the text of the ruling.

The registration of candidates lasts until February 8.

The campaigning begins the next day after the registration of candidates and ends at 24:00 on March 29.
