Poroshenko, Nazarbayev discuss security in occupied Crimea, Donbas

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has held a telephone conversation with his Kazakhstani counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev during which, among other things, they discussed the security situation in the territories of Ukraine temporarily occupied by Russia, the press service of the head of the Ukrainian state has reported.
"The parties agreed to hold the next meeting of the joint Ukrainian-Kazakhstani interstate commission for economic cooperation in 2019," the statement reads.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects for the development of trade and economic bilateral cooperation. The heads of state discussed cooperation as part of international organizations, in particular, the United Nations.
The two leaders discussed the security situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. During the conversation, the heads of state noted mutual interest in intensifying the dynamics of the political dialogue between Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
