"The esteemed British parliamentarians - Chairman of the British-Ukraine All-Party Parliamentary Group John Whittingdale and former Defence Secretary Michael Fallon – have visited Mariupol today. Within the framework of their visit to Ukraine, they tried to gain insight into the problems of the ports on the Sea of Azov, in particular, the checks on ships entering and exiting Kerch-Yenikale channel by Russia," reads the statement on Facebook page of the Mariupol Sea Commercial Port.
As noted, director of the port Oleksandr Oliynyk told the parliamentarians in detail about the history of the state enterprise, its development, obstacles and possible solutions to the current problems.
The lawmakers visited the port's territory and saw the empty berths with their own eyes. However, they expressed the conviction that the world partners would help to settle the problem soon.
