Ukrainian president, Moldovan PM discuss extension of customs control

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has held a telephone conversation with Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip, the press service of the head of state has reported.

According to the report, the sides discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda. They also noted a high level of partnership relations between the two countries.

"In particular, they spoke about the strengthening of cooperation in the border area and the extension of common border and customs control at certain crossing points on the Ukrainian-Moldovan state border," the presidential press service reported.

The report notes that special attention was paid to strengthening security in the region and cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova as part of international organizations.
