New Ukrainian ambassador begins diplomatic mission in Greece

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic Serhiy Shutenko has presented his credentials to President of Greece Prokopios Pavlopoulos.

The Ukrainian Embassy in Greece informed this on its Facebook page.

“On December 18, 2018, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic Serhiy Shutenko presented his credentials to President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos,” the embassy reported.

During the conversation, the sides discussed the state and prospects of development of bilateral relations between the two countries, in particular, in the political and economic sectors.

The Ukrainian ambassador informed the Greek president about the efforts made by Ukraine to restore its territorial integrity, and expressed hope for Greece’s continued support for Ukraine.

Taking the opportunity, the ambassador expressed hope that the president of Greece would visit Ukraine next year at the invitation of the president of Ukraine, which would be important for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two states.
