President Poroshenko leaves for Brussels

President Petro Poroshenko has left for Brussels, where extremely important decisions for Ukraine will be made.

The president pays a working visit to Brussels on December 12-13 in the framework of the European Council session, the press service of the head of state reported.

The head of state will hold a series of meetings with EU and NATO leaders and heads of the EU member states in order to ensure the EU’s unity in responding to the act of aggression against Ukraine in the Azov Sea and the Kerch Strait, as well as the continuation of economic and sectoral sanctions of the EU considering the Russian aggression in Donbas.

President Poroshenko is expected to meet with President of the European Council Donald Tusk and the leadership of the European Commission, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and other European leaders.
