Foreign Ministers of the European Union have approved the introduction of sanctions against nine people responsible for the organization of “elections” in the temporary occupied of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Radio Free Europe reporter Rikard Jozwiak wrote this on Twitter.

“EU foreign ministers have just approved the visa bans and asset freezes on the 9 people the EU deems responsible for organizing the 'elections' in eastern Ukraine,” reads the report.

According to him, the text of the relevant decision will be published in the EU official journal today.

As Ukrinform reported, despite the categorical reaction of the international community, the Russian side organized the so-called local elections in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine on November 11.
