Parliament approves law on demining territories of Donbas

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has approved the law on the implementation of mine action in Ukraine and the demining of the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
A total of 242 MPs voted in favor of a respective bill at second reading and as a whole, with the required minimum being 226 votes, an Ukrinform correspondent repots.
The law defines the status of territories for the needs of mine action, sources of its financing, requirements for experts in this area and their responsibilities, assistance to persons injured by explosive objects etc.
