Canada to send its observers to elections in Ukraine – source

Ukrinform
Canada has decided to send a large monitoring mission to the elections in Ukraine next year.

As an Ukrinform correspondent has learned from a source, this decision will be officially announced during the OSCE Ministerial Council, which will be held in Milan on December 6-7.

The information about the exact number of observers and the duration of their stay in Ukraine will be made public later.

Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland will represent Canada at the OSCE Ministerial Summit. As the Foreign Ministry of Canada reported, “during the meetings in NATO and the OSCE, the minister will work with the G7 and other partners to take a decision regarding the serious concern of Canada over the latest act of Russian aggression, especially near the Kerch Strait.”
