In 2019, Slovakia’s OSCE chairmanship will pay considerable attention to the issue of Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajčák made a relevant statement during the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Visegrad Group (V4) countries in Bratislava on Thursday, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Poland reports.

“Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajčák said that Slovakia, which will soon assume the OSCE chairmanship, would raise the issue of Russia's aggression against Ukraine within the framework of this organization,” the Polish Foreign Ministry reports.

As noted, Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz notified his colleagues from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary about his conversation with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, which took place on Wednesday.

During a telephone conversation with Mogherini, Czaputowicz stressed the need for a “clear and decisive” response from the EU to Russia's aggression against the ships of the Ukrainian Navy. At the same time, the High Representative of the Union expressed confidence in the need to support Ukraine in the context of recent events in the Kerch Strait.
