Ukraine is ready to pardon all those involved in crimes against the territorial integrity of Ukraine in exchange for Ukrainian hostages held in ORDLO, but so far there are no positive signals from Minsk to these proposals.

Ukraine's representative in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG), First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko wrote this on Facebook following the TCG’s meeting.

"As for hostages, the Ukrainian side is ready to pardon the criminals involved in crimes against its territorial integrity in order to release the hostages from the occupied Donbas, and to transfer Russian criminals in exchange for political prisoners of the Kremlin. Unfortunately, we have not received any positive signals to these proposals so far,” Gerashchenko noted.

She also noted that ORDLO leaders were not ready for the transfer of prisoners not related to the conflict. According to her, the Ukrainian side proposed to do this on November 27.

As reported, President Petro Poroshenko appointed Yevhen Marchuk as Ukraine’s representative in the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) for the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas. Former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma left the post of Ukraine's representative in the TCG on October 2.
