Parliament supports Markarova's appointment as Ukraine's finance minister

The Verkhovna Rada has supported the appointment of acting Finance Minister Oksana Markarova as Ukraine's finance minister.

A total of 242 MPs voted for such a decision on Thursday, November 22, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

On June 7, 2018, the Verkhovna Rada supported a government draft resolution on Oleksandr Danyliuk's dismissal from the post of finance minister and Oksana Markarova's appointment as acting finance minister. On November 22, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman proposed that parliament approve Markarova as finance minister and appoint Iryna Friz as minister for veterans.
