Ukraine can count on continued support of Canada – defence minister

Canada continues to consistently condemn the illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia and support the people of Ukraine.
“We continue to condemn the illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia. The people of Ukraine can count on long-lasting friendship and support of Canada,” Canadian Defence Minister Harjit S. Sajjan stated, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
He recalled that the Canadian military was involved in the UNIFIER training mission in Ukraine.
“I’d like to emphasize that our government strongly supports Ukrainians and the territorial integrity of Ukraine,” the minister said.
Sajjan added that Canada "stands in defense of international peace and stability."
“Together with our allies and partners, we stand side by side for a better and more secure future,” he summed up.
