The Minsk agreements are a key tool for maintaining sanctions against Russia for the sake of restoring Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker said this during a meeting of the U.S.-Ukraine Strategic Partnership Commission.
“I highlighted the utility of the Minsk agreements, which while signed at a difficult time, reaffirm Russia’s commitment to Ukraine’s territorial integrity and is a key vehicle for maintaining sanctions,” he wrote on Twitter.
Volker also reiterated the U.S. commitment to ensuring the full restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and the safety and well-being of all Ukrainians.
