Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz has said that sanctions against Russia over its aggression in Ukraine are justified.

"We have a fundamental difference in views with Russia. First of all, we believe that Russia has violated international law by carrying out aggression in Ukraine. Therefore, sanctions against Russia are justified," he said on Radio Wnet.

He added that Poland supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders and also backs the preservation of sanctions against Russia until there are serious changes in Russian politics.

According to Czaputowicz, another important difference in views is the case regarding the return of the wreckage from the government Tu-154M aircraft from Russia to Poland. He drew attention to the recently adopted important PACE resolution calling on Russia to return the aircraft to Poland.
