Australia condemns ‘elections’ in eastern Ukraine – statement

The position of Australia regarding the so-called “elections” in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions is consistent with the position of the OSCE.
Ukrinform learnt this from the Ukrainian Embassy in Canberra, Australia.
“Australia’s position on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine remains unchanged, and its assessment of the so-called elections in Donbas coincides with the position of the OSCE Permanent Council,” the embassy noted.
In turn, the Australian Embassy in Ukraine posted a statement on Twitter, noting that “Australia condemns the so-called elections in eastern Ukraine on November 11 and continues to urge all sides to comply with their Minsk commitments. Australia remains a strong supporter of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.“
