Herashchenko calls on MPs to vote for creation of Ministry for Veterans Affairs this week

First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada and President’s Commissioner for the peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbas, Iryna Herashchenko, has said that the parliament this plenary week should vote for the creation of the Ministry for Veterans Affairs.
“Especially now in the pre-election period, when there is speculation that there are approaches to resolving the war in Donbas, [it is necessary] to take care of the veterans and vote this week for the creation of the Ministry for Veterans Affairs,” she said at a meeting of the Agenda-Setting Council on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to Herashchenko, such a ministry will be able to comprehensively tackle the problems of all those participated in the war, including their psychological rehabilitation.
