Foreign Ministry: Ukraine to use new EP resolution in lawsuit against Russia
Ukrinform
Ukraine will attach the resolution of the European Parliament, which provides for tightening sanctions against the Russian Federation in case of escalation in the Sea of Azov, to the evidence base in litigation against Russia in the international courts.
Mariana Betsa, the Spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, made the relevant statement on the air of Hromadske.
According to her, the resolution contains many political signals and condemns not only the aggravation of the situation in the Sea of Azov but also the construction of the Kerch Bridge.
"This document is an element of Ukraine’s tactics in the international tribunal. We will attach it to the evidence base to protect our interests. It is important that we are being supported," Betsa added.
As reported, on October 25, the European Parliament adopted the resolution in which it proposes tightening sanctions against Russia if the conflict in the Sea of Azov escalates.
