Government allocates UAH 100 mln in compensation for residents of Ichnia district

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a decision to allocate UAH 100 million from the reserve fund of the state budget to compensate the residents of the Ichnia district, Chernihiv region, for any damages caused by explosions at the ammunition depots of military unit A1479.
"We allocate [UAH] 100 million from the reserve fund for the region. The Finance Ministry has been instructed to coordinate this issue with the region so that there are no bureaucratic hurdles, because sometimes it is very disturbing," said Groysman at a government meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent repots.
On October 9, a fire broke out at the arms depots of military unit A1479 of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the village of Druzhba in the Ichnia district of Chernihiv region. Over 12,000 people have been evacuated from the scene of the incident.
