Ukrinform
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has announced that Russia plans to actively interfere in the upcoming election campaign in Ukraine.

“We already see from the point of view of our special services and from the point of view of our partners that Russia is going to actively interfere in the election campaign [in Ukraine] through disinformation systems, systems of falsification of the electoral process and through hacker cyber attack systems for disrupting the elections,” Poroshenko said during a meeting with new membership of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In this regard, the Head of State noted that he relied on the efficient work of the Central Election Commission members and effective measures to counter Russian plans for sake of protection of the choice of the Ukrainian people.

The next presidential elections in Ukraine are scheduled for the last Sunday of March 2019.
