Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has said that 15 helicopter bases and Airbus Helicopters service center will be created in Ukraine.

"In Ukraine, we will open the Airbus Helicopters service center, we will create additional jobs. We plan to have 15 bases all over the country where our helicopter groups will be located. The key group will be in Nizhyn, as well as along the borders of Ukraine. But the whole system will work as a single mechanism," he said during a working visit to France on October 4, the press service of the Interior Ministry reports.

Avakov stressed that the system of aviation security and protection of the Interior Ministry requires detailed planning.

Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Mykola Chechetkin, in turn, said that the State Emergency Service has already started to train personnel and is waiting for the first three helicopters from the French company.

Also, the Interior Ministry’s delegation visited the Airbus Helicopters production facility where helicopters are assembled, including those that will be delivered to Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reported, Avakov headed the Ukrainian delegation, which visited the Airbus Helicopters company in the French city of Marignane, near Marseille, on October 4.
