Dublin shares Warsaw’s concerns about Russia's actions in Ukraine. Ireland plans to open its embassy in Kyiv to understand better the situation in Ukraine.

Tánaiste and Deputy Prime Minister of Ireland Simon Coveney stated this during a press conference with Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz in Warsaw, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Poland is located on the eastern borders of the EU, and therefore it better understands the challenges in this part of the EU. We would like to understand these challenges, we stand in full solidarity with you and we are concerned about the increased influence of Russia in the issue of Ukraine," he stressed.

He added that next year Ireland plans to open its embassy in Kyiv in order to be "part of the solutions on the eastern borders of the EU."
