Kuchma steps down as Ukrainian rep at Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk

Ukraine's representative in the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) for the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas, former President Leonid Kuchma, took leave of his colleagues in the negotiation process in Minsk on October 2, Kuchma's press secretary, Darka Olifer, has said on Facebook. 

"At the end of today's work in Minsk, Leonid Kuchma thanked his colleagues in the Trilateral Contact Group for their joint work. His work as Ukraine's representative in the Trilateral Contact Group has thus been summarized," Olifer wrote.

She added that Kuchma had expressed special gratitude to the Belarusian side for assistance in organizing the negotiation process.

According to Olifer, OSCE Special Envoy to the TCG Martin Sajdik, on behalf of the TCG, thanked Kuchma for his contribution to the Minsk process, as well as for his wisdom and devotion to Ukraine, which were shown during the negotiation process in Minsk.
