Groysman strongly against liquidation of Naftogaz

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said that he is strongly against a proposal to liquidate NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.

“Now the work is being carried out on arresting assets. They [Russia’s Gazprom] really have to transfer us 2.6 billion dollars. It is clear that the liquidation of Naftogaz will eliminate the creditor's debt. Therefore, it is impossible under any circumstances… If we think to forgive them, then we have to liquidate it [Naftogaz], but if we think about Ukraine, then it is impossible and we should not to do this because it is a very serious gift to our enemy,” said Groysman during the Svoboda Slova talk show on ICTV Channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

Earlier, leader of the Batkivschyna party Yulia Tymoshenko stated about her intention to liquidate Naftogaz of Ukraine in less than six months after the presidential elections. Experts unanimously condemned such an idea.
