Qatar plans to adopt Ukraine's civil security experience during 2022 FIFA World Cup

Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has met with newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Ukraine Hadi bin Nasser Al Hajri and discussed cooperation in field of civil security.

The parties discussed the promising directions of Ukraine-Qatar cooperation in field of civil security. In particular, Ukraine and Qatar are interested in cybersecurity cooperation and exchange of experience in training special police units," the press service of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine reports.

Ambassador of Qatar noted that his country planned to adopt Ukraine's experience of civil security organization during large-scale events such as the Champions League, UEFA Euro 2012 and Eurovision. Now, the State of Qatar is actively preparing for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The parties also discussed ratification by the Qatari side of the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the State of Qatar on mutual abolition of visa requirements, signed on March 20, 2018.
