Poroshenko: Sanctions against Russia efficient

The international pressure on Russia should be stepped up to raise the costs for its aggression and occupation.
"Pressure on Russia should be stepped up, the costs for its aggression and occupation should grow," President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said upon the ceremony of signing the loan agreement and the memorandum of understanding on EU’s macro-financial assistance program to Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The international sanctions against the Russian Federation are efficient, the President said. At the same time, he noted, the sanctions are not punishment, but rather a tool for returning Russia to negotiating table to stop its aggression and restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
