Poroshenko, Volker discuss situation in Donbas

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has met with U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker, the presidential press service has reported.
"The importance of continuing the policy of sanctions against Russia until complete de-occupation of Ukrainian territories was emphasized during the meeting. Poroshenko thanked for strengthening the defense capability of the Ukrainian army and noted the importance of continuing close cooperation in the field of security and defense," the press service said.
The sides also discussed energy security issues, in particular in the context of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
