EU sanctions an effective way to show unity in struggle for Ukraine's sovereignty - Groysman

Ukrinform
Ukraine Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has welcomed the EU Council's decision to extend sanctions against Russia over actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

"I welcome the decision of the EU Council to extend sanctions against 44 companies and 155 individuals from the sanctions list of the aggressor country. Asset freezes and travel restrictions are an effective way to show unity in the struggle for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity," Groysman wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

Ukrinform reported earlier that the EU Council had prolonged the restrictive measures against Russian citizens and companies over actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine for a further six months, until March 15, 2019. The measures apply to 155 persons and 44 entities.
