About one million Ukrainians leave the country annually.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said this on the air of the Freedom of Speech talk show on ICTV TV Channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"We really have a catastrophic situation – about one million Ukrainians leave the country every year. We predict that this trend will unfortunately prevail in the near future," he stressed.
Klimkin added that according to the latest available statistics, about 1.4 million Ukrainians live in Poland.
The diplomat stressed that Ukraine is now working on mechanisms to unite the Ukrainian community.
