Austria’s support for Ukraine remains firm and reliable.

"I am very grateful to the Federal Chancellor and Austria for a solid and reliable support for Ukraine, decision on sanctions, support in the United Nations General Assembly, support for our resolutions. This is the position of a reliable partner," President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said at a joint press conference with Austrian Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He assured that Ukraine and Austria would continue cooperation at all levels. The Head of State said that the Ukrainian side had invited the President of Austria to visit Ukraine and the Austrian delegation to attend the events dedicated to the anniversary of Holodomor in November.

According to him, Ukraine is interested in Austria as a reliable trade, political, economic and humanitarian partner.

“This [the stance of Austria] is a vivid evidence of a very strong support for Ukraine by the official Vienna, by the Austrian Government. It is a clear understanding that neither FIFA World Cup nor "cossack weddings" will stop the Russian aggressor,” the President assured.
