Klimkin: Documents on denunciation of friendship and cooperation treaty with Russia already prepared
"These documents have already been prepared, the whole package. It has always been our stance. We will present the package officially in the coming days," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin told journalists, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to him, Russia violated the preamble and all the articles of the treaty.
Klimkin promised to explain on Friday all Russia’s violations of the treaty commitments over the past 4.5 years.
As reported, the Ukraine-Russia Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Ukraine was signed on May 31, 1997 in Kyiv. Pursuant to the treaty, the parties committed, in particular, to "respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty" of each other and "confirmed the inviolability of the existing borders between them."
